I don't know what it is about black guys, but but at work, one has flirted with me, one asked for my number and gave me his and wanted me to show him around town sometime, and still another asked for my number and told me that I'd like sex more if I let him fuck me. He keeps calling me "boo" and writing messages on my boxes at work and telling me he loves me. He told me to add him on facebook but I keep forgetting. I can't attract a white guy to save my life, though!

So the bowl schedule is up, for the most part and USC accepts its first non-BCS bowl bid in 8 years: The Emerald Bowl to be played in San Francisco on December 26th against Boston College. So it's not THE shit bowl, it is a shit bowl. The Rose Bowl is basically a home game for them. The BCS is still in effect and there are 4 or 5 teams that have the same record USC does (8-4) that are in the top 25. USC deserves a much better bowl, like the Alamo Bowl, Chick-Fil-A Bowl, or Outback Bowl. Not a BCS bowl, but one of the better non-BCS ones. I'd be offended if I were them. If only they'd beated Arizona like they should've; they'd be going to the Holiday Bowl, which is slightly better than the Emerald Bowl. But if they DID win, their record would've been better than Arizona's record is NOW, which I think should warrant a better bowl bid.

Alabama is obviously playing in the national championship game, but you can except Texas to be there, too. but is it fair? No. The BCS is never fair. The only job the BCS has is to pick a clear #1 and #2 team, and it fails almost every year. Particularly when LSU and USC had to share the champioship in 2004.

The BCS announcement is on right now on FOX. It will show the final BCS rankings. The Bowl Selection special is actually THREE HOURS long, and is also on right now, on ESPN. I thought it'd be only an hour, because there are only 34 bowls. But there will be a lot of analysis, mostly about if Texas really deserves to be #2 and why USC got such a crappy bowl. I can't wait for next season to start so I can forget about this one.

I'm kind of sad that today was the last regular season game. and USC had to LOSE to Arizona AT HOME. That's their fourth loss this season, and their fourth pac 10 loss. Two were at home: Arizona today and Stanford a few weeks ago. I don't recall this ever happening to them since I've been on this earth. Next season can't come fast enough for me; I want to forget about USC's 8-4 season and I want everyone else forget about it, too. They ruins their 7 straight 11-win seasons, 7 straight Rose Bowl wins, and 7 straight pac 10 titles streaks. So now they're going to the shit bowl. The bowl selection special is on <s>tomorrow</s> tonight at 8pm so I'll be watching that to see if Texas is really going to Pasadena to play Alabama.

Alabama beat Florida 32-13! They dominated the whole time. It was so great to see Tim Tebow crying because he lost his last regular season game, I'm not gonna lie. I love it when people I hate are sad and miserable. At least I'm straight about it. Not much else to say there, except Alabama is #1 like they should've been and now they're going to kick Texas' ass in Pasadena next month!

Texas played Nebraska and Nebraska hung with them for the entire game. Nebraska scored first, but they never scored a touchdown. The most Texas ever led by was 4 points. It was Nebraska's defense that kept them in it, because the final score was 13-12. Texas kicked a last SECOND 46-yard touchdown to win. But that game was OVER. Colt McCoy threw a ridiculous pass out of bounds and to nobody in particular and the clock ran down to :00 but the officials put 1 second back on the clock and that's when Texas won by ONE POINT. Nebraska had a first and goal situation but they couldn't pull through. What really killed them though was the kick off when the ball went out of bounds AT THE 10 so it was spotted at the 40! And then Nebraska incurred a penalty for a horse collar tackle on Jordan Shipley, which added 15 yards to the end of the run, putting Texas in field goal range.

Colt McCoy is a terrible quarterback. If he didn't have Shipley to throw to, he'd never complete a pass. It's true. But maybe since the final score was 13-12 and Cincinnati beat Pittsburgh (by one point) in the de facto Big East championship game and Nebraska isn't even that good, Texas will actually drop in the rankings and TCU or Cincy will be #2 and play Alabama in the championship bowl game. That would be sweet!

Two things:

Don't let me down Alabama! Florida HAS to lose! And they WOULD HAVE if it weren't for those damn SEC officials in the Arkansas game. Arkansas had Florida's number. Florida can't win unless they cheat.

and

Real World DC? They're really running out of cities. They had Real World Los Angeles AND Hollywood. Hollywood pretty much is Los Angeles. They had Real World New York AND Brooklyn. Brooklyn is part of New York City.

Barack Obama is on the cover of the current issue of GQ magazine as "leader of the year" and Michelle Obama is on the cover of another magazine, but I can't remember the name of it.

I got my paycheck today for the week of Thanksgiving. I was told that since I wasn't working Friday, that I wouldn't get paid for Thursday even though working Friday was optional. I opened my paycheck and I got paid almost $200 for THREE DAYS! That's because I got paid for 8 hours for Thursday and Friday. I guess if I worked Friday I would've gotten time and a half for Thursday, plus whatever I would've gotten paid on Friday. I'm missing my paycheck from the week before Thanksgiving though.

I had a pretty sweet dream last night: I dreamt that I was the quarterback for USC and we were playing Arizona (which they are on Saturday) but we were wearing green and white (Oregon's colors) and we were dressed up in cheerleader outfits. I was Pete Carroll's favorite player. On the first drive of the game, Arizona scored and went for 2 points and made it and the score was 20-0. I remember thinking, "I've never been this high up at a football game" and then "wait, I'm not supposed to be here, I have to play!" But I was sitting next to two cal football players who were in their football uniforms.

I couldn't go onto the field until I took a test for the flu and strep throat and all these other illnesses that were measured by bouncy balls. I went onto the field without any pants on and I didn't have cleats, just USC-colored Vans.

Before we even started the game, we rode the rollercoaster Rebel Yell, which is a real rollercoaster at King's Dominion in Ashland. It was built around the stadium. One of my friends was sitting in the car in front of me and kept asking me how I was able to connect with player x. I said that I didn't know, and that we were lucky to connect because I didn't think we would ever at all. And then I said that I'd rather ride the version that went backward. The whole time I was on the ride, I kept worrying that I didn't have any socks. And then I found a pair and thought, "you can never have too many clean pairs of socks."

On the way to the game, I walked to the stadium with a teammate because everyone was trying to rent cars and the place was out of them so I thought it would just be smart not even to try and just walk there because that's what we'd end up doing anyway.

The "artists" nominated for the Grammys this year is probably one of the worst in recent memory. I checked the list hoping a credible artist that I actually like would be there, but I was grossly disappointed. "Drake" aka AUBREY GRAHAM FROM DEGRASSI is nominated. Rap isn't even music. Green Day and Britney Spears are nominated (AGAIN?). Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Kanye West, Slayer, and Megadeth?! Seriously???? Linkin Park is nominated for What I've Done, which is two years old! I remember when Maroon 5 won a Grammy for a song that was nominated the year before as well. It'd be easier for me to name the bands that actually DO deserve their nominations: U2, Dave Matthews Band, and The Fray. But they probably have no chance. U2 has won plenty of Grammys anyway, right? And I don't really know of anything DMB has done in the last year, which is the case for most nominated artists.

Proposal in California to ban DIVORCE on the same grounds as they banned gay marriage. [03 Dec 2009|09:55am]

I've been campaigning banning divorce for YEARS now. Since 2003. I wish I lived in California because I'd totally be voting FOR this proposition. I guess it won't make the ballot until next year's primaries, but if it passes I'll be beside myself with glee. I want to move to California and establish residency so I can vote for it. I think Virginia, New Hampshire, and all those other backward, ruthlessly conservative states should follow suit just to show how ridiculous banning gay marriage is in the first place.

On election day in 2006 I went with my boyfriend to his precinct and two women stopped us and told us to vote "yes" on Prop 8 in Virginia and so I asked them if they were divorced. One of them said yes. So I got into a heated (at least I was heated) about how hypocritical it is to ban gay marriage when they disregarded the sanctity of marriage and got a divorce.

Twenty-nine states have a constitutional ban restricting marriage to one man and one woman. Those states are:

  • Alabama
  • Alaska
  • Arizona
  • Arkansas
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Florida
  • Georgia
  • Kansas
  • Kentucky
  • Idaho
  • Louisiana
  • Michigan
  • Mississippi
  • Missouri
  • Montana
  • Nebraska
  • Nevada
  • North Dakota
  • Ohio
  • Oklahoma
  • Oregon
  • South Carolina
  • South Dakota
  • Tennessee
  • Texas
  • Utah
  • Virginia
  • Wisconsin
The following states have laws that ban gay marriage and limit marriage to one man and one woman (but it is not in their constitutions):
  • Arizona
  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Florida
  • Hawaii
  • Illinois
  • Indiana
  • Iowa
  • Maine
  • Maryland
  • Minnesota
  • New Hampshire
  • North Carolina
  • Pennsylvania
  • Vermont
  • Washington
  • West Virginia
  • Wyoming

I got about 45 minutes of overtime today at work. Most of the day, I just stood around while everybody else was desperately trying to keep up with the high volume. I didn't even have anything stacked out. But for the last hour and a half, we were all slammed. So hard, in fact, that I couldn't even load anything. It was all I could do just to throw the packages relatively close to their respective trucks. I clocked out at 9:15 and it was 9:30 by the time I left, and I'd been there since 3:30. Anything over 5 hours is overtime and we get time and a half, so I was making $16.50 an hour, except I worked only 45 minutes of overtime. But that's still an hour after we're usually done. But if UPS has got the money, I've got the time.

Now I'm waiting for Patrick to come pick me up and take me to the doctor. And then I'm going to get Sheetz and take a nap.
